If you’ve been reading my blog for quite some time you would know that I just can’t get enough of Korean beauty products. So for this post, I’m gonna review one of my staple product of the moment.. I always have it in my bag..This is..

*Packaging*

*Content & Swatch*

The swatches from the website, it’s quite rare to see Korean products have 5 different shades like this, it accommodates the lighter to the slightly darker skin tones, gotta love it.. ^^

Even though I don’t read Korean, all I can say is Annyeong Haseyo or Saranghae <3 (I Love You), but I think I can understand the meaning from the picture la, hehe..

I chose the #3 Natural Beige (the middle shade) because I think that’s the right shade for me.

Important TIPS: One thing that I learn from choosing shade in Korean cosmetics, NEVER choose the lighter shade if your skin is NC 25 and below. Otherwise you will ended up too white! Always choose 1 shade darker than your skin tone and then *fingers crossed* it will match nicely. After all, you still have your face powder and blush on that will balance it out. :)

*Texture*

The texture is really moist and the best way to describe it, I can say it’s like semi solid – semi liquid foundation. When it’s applied, it will melt immediately when it touches the skin, leaving a nice dewy complexion.

It smells nice too, it’s not floral but it has a subtle herbal scent.

*FOTD + Some Thoughts*

This photo was taken using my BB around 2 PM at that day, so it’s been 6 hours since I applied it. No Photoshop done!

See how my face is glowing even after 6 hours?

That’s what I like from Korean products, it gives me dewy glowing complexion! ^^

The main effect that I feel , the Natural Beige shade makes my skin become 20% – 30% brighter than my original skin tone, which is nice. It doesn’t give any white-ish effect, thankfully.

For oil control it’s good yet standard, I blotted once after 4 hours. I work inside the office with AC, so I think it’s the average time I usually have to use oil-absorbing-paper.

The coverage is medium, it doesn’t cover my blemish completely. But I think it’s good enough to be used everyday especially to the office since I don’t like wearing heavy makeup for too long.

From what I observed, when I see any Korean women including KPop celebrities, they don’t like heavy makeup too, their philosophy of beauty is about Flawless Skin! So it’s not just about makeup, it’s also about good skincare ritual we continuously doing day by day.. (oh no, lazy meeee..) XD

PS: Although I often feature foreign beauty products in my blog, it doesn’t mean that I don’t love our ‘Made in Indonesia’ products ya, hehehe.. I do love my country and our own made products.. <3

I was invited to the Lancome Visionnaire Launching event that took place at Glass House at Jalan Wijaya. And you know what, it was raining hard at that time, so I was wet (well not entirely) when I finally get there. But I didn’t give up, I finally arrived at the spot! ^^

Ok, Let’s try it!

From the first testing, I can tell the texture is silky and it feels like a light lotion and will instantly smoothens the skin when applied. It’s really concentrated yet quickly absorbed to the skin, leaving a nice velvety feeling. It smells like rose, a subtle floral scent according to my nose.

But how does it really benefit the skin, you ask? No worries, cause each of the beauty bloggers can get a bottle of Visionnaire to try at home! So happy.. ^^

And now, after using this it almost 2 months already, here’s my review:

Main visible effect that I can feel is my skin become softer & smoother. My skin feels silky soft, it saves me on face primer because since I use it, my makeup becomes more easily applied! ^^
It improves my skin in terms of firmness and elasticity. The pores, although not visible, but I feel it’s become smaller and tighter, oh and also there’s a bouncy feeling.. *toink toink* :D
About wrinkle, I honestly say I don’t know the effect about it yet, since I don’t have wrinkle yet. Maybe any of you can give opinion about this? :)
Overall, my skin feels healthy and fresher, skintone also more even, my face used to be slightly darker than my neck, but now I think it’s become even, even my face is brighter, hehe..
PS: One thing though, with a staggering price of Rp 900.000,- for 30 ml and Rp 1.300.000,- for 50 ml, it is a bit pricey, hehehe..

*IMHO (in my honest opinion)*

If I may say, there’s a bit of complexity in reviewing skincare product, since it has a skin-care-purpose, I think I have to explain something to all of you, my dear readers. The thing about skincare product, I have to test it longer than usual to really know about the effect, that’s why it took some time for this blog post to be published. I have to really try this product, putting it in daily skincare basis. I want to provide an in-depth review, so please bear with a long post like this, okay?? XD

Also, you have to understand that my skin is different than yours, obviously, and sometimes in my skin it works, while in your skin maybe it’s not. That’s what we called in Bahasa Indonesia “cocok-cocokan” which means what suited me doesn’t always suit yours. I guess it’s fair to say that since each of us is unique, right? But I hope from reading my experiences about testing the skincare products, you would gain some knowledge so you can apply it accordingly to your own skin. :)

Bremenn 6 in 1 Face Cream Review–Paraben Free! ^^

Oooohh.. What’s in the package??

I got this product to be reviewed from Luxasia representative, and after testing it for more than a month, this is my review.. :)

The box is really informative and it has everything you need to know. The most important thing is, it’s Paraben Free. What’s Paraben, you say? Paraben is a chemical widely used as preservatives by cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Well, knowing that this product has no paraben in it, I think it’s worth to try, right? ^^

*Packaging*

The packaging is sleek and simple, white with a touch of blue.

It’s a tube with a pump, so hygienic.

*Content*

As this cream is really concentrated in my opinion, just a little bit is enough. The content is 38,4 ml and twice pump is enough to cover my whole face.

*Product 101*

From the name itself, it says 6 in 1 skin cream, so what are they?

1. Wrinkle cream

2. Firming cream

3. Smoothing cream

4. Toning cream

5. Brightening cream

6. Moisturizing cream

Bremenn’s 6 in 1 Skin Cream not only reduces the appearance of existing fine lines, wrinkles and crows’ feet, but helps maintain the elasticity, tone, moisture level, smoothness, and the overall look of healthy, radiant skin. Sounds amazing, right? You can check the website, here.

Moving on to the…

*Review*

This face cream feels light when I rub it with my hand, yet in my face it feels a bit heavy and takes about 1 minute to be absorbed, maybe because I have oily skin? I’m not used to a creamy face cream like this, I usually use gel-type moisturizer in my daily basis. Need some time to adapt my skin to it, but after a while I’m used to it. If you have dry skin, you may love this cream, though. :)

It’s almost odorless when I try to smell it, so no fragrance which is a good sign for people who doesn’t like strong fragrance in their skincare..

After using this cream regularly for more than 1 month, I can say that this cream is really good in moisturizing (of course la, it’s 6 in 1, hehe),my skin feels smooth and nice to touch. The main effect I feel is it calms the redness & inflammation on my face, making it less visible. It also helps to control acne, right now on average I only have 2-3 acnes monthly due to hormone, usually before my period time. Other than that, I’m fine. *phew* ^^

One thing I regret though, this cream doesn’t have SPF protection in its content. But, in my makeup products like BB Cream and powder, they contain SPF already so I guess that’s okay by me. So far I feel 5 out of 6 benefits the products claimed to have, as for the anti-wrinkle power I don’t really know since I don’t have wrinkle yet.. :p

The price is quite expensive, however.. It’s $49 so it’s almost Rp 450.000.. Investment for the future, I guess? ^^ If you’re looking for a good quality face moisturizer with lots of benefits and you have dry skin, I think this one is worth to try..

Hello everyone!

Wow, everybody in the blogosphere is having their own version of their last post in 2011 so I guess I’ll have to write up mine too!

But first, there’s something NEW in my look today, tadaaa..

My new glasses for new year! ^^

People in here always say, for new year you need a new clothes la.. But for me, I think I need new glasses better, hehe.. Me likey! ^^ It has bigger frame so it cover my eyes and make my face looks slimmer, compare to the previous one with the dark blue frame. I’m up for change now!

Also, in Twitter this afternoon, me and Ferdinand were talking about resolution for 2012, so we decided to make this post. We think, what better way to express our excitement for this new year?? Of course with blog post la! ^^ #dilligentblogger XD

So here they are…

My Top 3 Resolution for 2012:

1. Graduate from college (my number 1 priority for now, aza aza fighting!)

2. Learn more about Art and Graphic Design (I’ve bought a drawing tablet recently. I’ve been painting and fascinated by art since I was little so I think it’s time to take it to the next level!)

3. Blog more often.. (same with Ferdinand Rebzone, hehe) I feel like CAPITALIZING, bolding and underlining that one since..you know, ahahahahha.. XP

I don’t make too many resolution because I just wanna be focused on those 3 first, for now.. ^^

Hello guys!! ^^ To start this post, my head was banging real hard cause I barely had the time to sleep for the past week. 4 days. 3 days in KL for #napbas and 1 day in Lampung to do some college stuff left me no time to rest (after that continue working). T__T” But I’m super excited to share my experience to be part of Nuffnang Asia Pasific Blog Awards #napbas 2011!

I got the invitation!! Well, me and Stella did, hehe..

Nuff introduction, here comes The Awesomeness..

We (me and Stella) arrived at Marriot Putrajaya Hotel Kuala Lumpur!! The nuffies even picked us up from the KLIA airport, they’re so organized so we won’t be lost, hehe.. It was 2 PM when we arrived at the hotel so we hurried up to prepare ourselves..

Fast forward to almost 6 PM, we’re ready!!!

I decided to keep it simple that night, a black dress and heels. I didn’t even curl my hair, cause I don’t want give more ‘heat’ to my head.. So nervous already cause we’re basically strangers here. We knew nobody there and so scared to the idea that no one will accept and be our friends. Boy, how we were wrong!

At the lobby, we met Tim, the one who invited us in the first place to go to #NAPBAS!

He talked to us and made these nervous girls calm again and introduced us to the crowd. Yay! ^^

Their speech was so touching, it really describe how Nuffnang and blogging community evolves together.

I also followed the history of Nuffnang since 2008. I remember it’s about their first paycheck from Nuffnang and I’m surprised that there’s such a blogging advertising community existed. They treated every member like family, that’s what I like.. :’) And now in 2011, wow, look how far we’ve all become! #suddenlyemo

Yuhuuuu.. How are you lovelies in this December?? Wow, time flies, wasn’t it? Now is December already..
And now I come back with more reviews! ^^ I have 3 more of the Pond’s Clear Balance face cleansers that I have to review, so here are the rest of them! ^^

Pond’s Oil Control Skin Mattifying Facial Foam

*Packaging*

I like the blue color! ^^ It contains mineral clay, probably from the sea so the color of packaging is blue? hehe..

*Review*

The result after using this, I feel like my face is tighter and squeaky clean. You can see from the picture it has blue beads to help clear up the oil and dirt.

About the oil control, it does controlling it and making my face looks matte. If you have oily skin (like me, hehe) I think you should try this.

Pond’s Clear Solutions Anti Bacterial Facial Scrub

The packaging is almost similar with the other of the Clear Balance series, only it’s in green cause it represents the Herbal Clay ingredient, I think..

*Review*

Hmm, so the content is green too, eh? You can see there’s also the tiny green beads too..

I usually use this after work, because I need the Anti Bacterial power to remove all the dirt on my face. The result after using this, my skin feels fresher and cleaner.

What surprised me actually was the fact that it doesn’t have herbal aroma, the scent is pretty neutral. The foam is also felt lighter than the other ones.

The packaging looks ‘icy’ to me, hehe.. The color is grey, probably cause it represents the glacial clay content?

*Review*

The content’s color is greyish, and when it touches the face, I feel a cold minty sensation. Brrrrr…hehehe..

I can even smell the menthol scent when it lathers with water. Smells good! ^^

After using it, my face feels tighter and there’s a velvety feeling that layers up the skin. I’ve been using this for quite a long time and I have to say that this is my favorite out of the 4 cleansers. It’s perfect for morning usage since it helps to prepare the skin before makeup. Plus it will wake you up since it feels like washing your face with ice cold water.. Brrrr..

Wow, this weekend has been so productive to me since I managed to make 3 posts in a row! *applause to myself*

For this post, I will a review about Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle, you can read about the blogger gathering, here.

Okay, first I will concentrate on the Maqui Blanc Miracle Foundation..

* Packaging*

The packaging is white and simple, with Lancome rose logo to add the nice touch.

*Content*

The content and the dual sponge. I got the shade O-03, which is more yellow (cause it’s Ochre) and it does look a bit darker. But when it comes to the skin it will blend and make it look flawless.

This is the closer look of the dual sponge, it means it has a dual surface, back to back.

*Review*

When I used this, my skin feels so soft and shine free. I usually use this for finishing layer after my liquid foundation and concealer. When It has a very good coverage on the skin which I like since I have many blemishes on my skin. It doesn’t feel heavy or ‘medok banget’.

Right now, I’ve been using this faithfully for almost a month, and I hit the pan already! That was fast..

As for the long-lastingness, Maqui Blanc Miracle really “nempel’ to the face for all day usage, it brings a gorgeous complexion that lasts. I’m also glad that it has SPF 35, so it’s safe for hot and sunny day.

I think this foundation really has great quality, although it is a bit pricey. But I guess it’s worth the result. ^^

Lancome L’Absolu Crème de Brilliance Lipgloss #320

This lipgloss is enriched with Pro-Xylane and Hyaluronic Acid to replump your lips and after application, will make it healthy and hydrated!

A warm pink with a hint of peach. Lovely touch to the lips.. I heart it! ^^

Here are another shades of it. Mine is 320, second from the right. There’s a hint of shimmer in it but not too much, so it’s still natural yet gives a luminous glossy color.

FYI, this FOTD is taken like several weeks ago when my hair is still black and my skin condition is still so much better. My skin is not perfect, you know. But I love it and embrace it anyway.. :)

Perth on my mind.. A day in Caversham Wildlife Park

What a good day to start Perth on my mind post series.. I want to record my holiday into more concentrated posts. I’ve shot about 2200-ish photos along the way, so there’s a lot of tales to tell, haha! ^^

For this post, I will focus on my journey in Caversham Wildlife Park. In Perth, actually there are 2 zoos, one is in the city, but it’s smaller. So we decided to go to Caversham since it’s bigger and has a lot to offer. It took almost an hour to get there, and you know what? An hour distance there is consider so faaaarrrrr away.. Ha, in Jakarta, it took me 1,5 hour to get to the office. One and a half hour man! And that’s regularly, every day. But of course, it's because of the traffic. And the traffic in Jakarta is bad. So you can imagine when we went to Perth and saw the highway there, wow.. So different! Every road is jam-free! Hallelujah! Lancar jaya!

There’s the road towards the zoo, it’s a clear and sunny day.. So happy that's the weather was nice! The sky was blue and bright, perfect for photo-ing!

The parking lot, my uncle parked his car there. It was not crowded since it was not the weekend. My uncle Ricky took a day off specially to take us to here, aww thank you Uncle! ^^

Even the paving road there has a Caversham sign! You see, that’s the point of being a photographer (still an amateur la), you found the little things that have the value of interest. You noticed the tiny yet matter things. ^^

That’s the entrance gate! Oh, and one more thing about being a photographer (amateur still), you get left behind so many times. People already walked 10 steps, while you still in the back photo-ing the flowers, hehe..

When we purchase the ticket, we got this map of the park. Can’t wait to see the kangaroos! ^^

Ooh, we can still make it to Meet the Wombat & Friends Show! ^^

At the entrance, there’s also a souvenir shop. I’ll share about all my purchases at Aussie in a separate post, ok?

I bought this to quench my thirst at the park. Taste a lil bit different than the coconut water in Indo, but it’s so refreshing.. ^^

The road is easy to follow, so you won’t get lost. :)

Ooh, can I teach them how to say “Apa Kabar??” Maybe he’ll reply: *parrot voice* ‘How are you? How are you?’ Since he doesn’t understand Indo, hahaha..

Now for the koala part! Too bad for the koala, I really want to hug them, but they’re protected in their cage and we could only see them through the glass. Awww.. X(

My uncle told that since the accident of the koala had broken ribs (they have very soft and tender ribs) because of the people’s hugs, the park is more careful about displaying them. So no more hugging the koala.. Boohoo.. T__T

Thankfully, I didn’t feel sad for long cause after that, I got to meet with the kangaroos up close and personal! Woot woot!

The good thing about kangaroos is they’ll ignore you and just layin’ on the ground. Some of them also dig a hole on the ground and just go “Leyeh-leyeh” as we called it, hehe.. Just chillin’ and enjoying the sun..

One hint though, DO NOT RUN. If you run, Bam! You can get kicked. Seriously.

But don’t sneak behind them la, just be normal, hehe..

My mom is so brave, she’s only an inch away from the kangaroo’s nose..

Kangaroo #1: “You know mate, I feel this blonde hair lady is taking picture of us.”

Kangaroo #2: “Ooh, is that true mate? Wait, how’s my face? Is it oily?”

Kangaroo#3: “Yeah, I guess you’ll need blotting paper, mate. Makeup!!” *shouting to the makeup artist*

Okay, that’s just in my head, hehehe.. I think I can say “mate” in every conversation now, I’m getting good with the OZ accent! XD

After we arrived, there were many people that come too.. They’re flocking around the wooden house/stage.

After the show, we’re ready to head for the exit, while seeing more animals of course, we had a lot of fun that day. Going to the zoo is not just for a lil kid, we adults can have such a good time there too! Especially when you bring your family with you!

Give me Garnier, with a Lemon Twist

Long time no see everyone, you all miss me?? hehehe.. Time for another review! ^^

This time I got a package from Garnier, and the box is hugeee..

There’s a cute travel pillow (or is it a mask pillow?), a headband, and of course, Garnier Lightening Peel-Off Mask. It contains pure Lemon essence to brighten up your skin! ^^

*Packaging*

Instantly illuminates complexion? Oooohhh.. Let’s see about that! ^^

*Description*

From the back of the packaging, we can see that it’s a peel-off mask that’s used to gently remove impurities and dead skin cells so it will reveal a brighter complexion. Voila!

Also with natural ingredients? I’m so ready to try it on!

*The content*

The content inside is yellow-lemon-ish color, with the smell like a lemon and it’s quite strong too.. The texture is also a bit sticky and gooey. And it dries out quickly on my hand, so I have to be fast on applying it to my face.

When I used this mask, I also used the headband and the travel pillow to make me more comfortable. Guess what? Yep, I fell asleep. Snoozed… Zzzzzz…That pillow is so comfortable la, hahahaha.. Thankfully I turned on the alarm on my BB to make sure I peel it off in time. :)

After about 15 minutes, we have the.. *jeng jeng jeng*

*Result*

FYI, I didn’t enhance the photo, only cropping. Okay, I cropped my face cause I have a really bad blemishes on my cheeks, but you got the idea. My face looks brighter after one usage of this mask. It’s not like a pale whitening effect, but it gives a more healthy radiant look to my face. Also for inflammation and redness was reduced a bit. I used this mask at night, and this one feels good! Finally, after long hours of work, No More ‘kucel’ face! ^^

You can still see some of the remaining mask on my face there, and you know what? The best part when using this mask is when I got to peel it off, it’s like peeling your old skin, hehe..

This is gonna be so exciting.. I can’t wait for 16 December 2011 to come.. XD

It’s very interesting cause Pond’s is launching the new line of facial products that consist of 4 different main element. You see the symbol on the bag? It represents the types of clay Pond’s using to formulate the product.

From left to right:

*Packaging*

This range consists of 100g, 50g, 30g packaging. I like the packaging in 30g, it’s compact to bring in my bag! I can use the 100g for my stock at home, while the 50g for usage at the office. This way, everybody gets its turn, hehe..

From the description behind the packaging, it says that Pond’s No Blackheads Deep Cleansing Facial Scrub is using the unique Volcanic Clay to draw out oil and dirt from deep within the skin. With the soft but working beads, it helps to exfoliate dead skin cells that’s clogging your pores to prevent the appearance of blackheads..

Bye bye Mr. Blackheads.. XD

I like the being “magnetically beautiful” part, hehe..

*Content*

We can see the color of the content is white with a hint of brownish - greyish, maybe because it contains volcanic clay ya? When it touches the water it will turn into a nice foamy texture with soft scrub beads. As for the smell, it has a very faint floral smell, but it’s not that strong, so it’s fine by me.

My nose is makin’ it big time in this post! Who would’ve thought? hehehe..

A picture of my cute little nose while using the product.. My nose has officially become a “magnetically beautiful” nose, bwahahahaha.. xp

I don’t really have problem with big blackheads (komedo) before, maybe because I have smaller pores?? After using the product for quite a while, I can say that it has minimized the blakcheads and also cleaned out the whiteheads on my nose.

As for the rest of my skin, the result is my face feels really brighten up after using it. I also notice the deep cleansing part, I feel fresher everytime I wash my face cause the volcanic clay has cleaned out the oil and dirt from the skin.

A glimpse of Swan River from the highway

Ahoy mate! ^^ Yeah, I know it’s been a while since I updated my blog.. Many things happened obviously, cause we’re having the most awesome holiday ever! We went to Perth, Australia to visit my uncle’s house and it’s a blast!

Yes, I dyed my hair in Perth.. I bleached the hair myself for the first time! It’s gold-ish brown now, hehe.. XP Behold my new look! ^o^

This post is totally random, I sometimes forget the names of the food and complete details, but at least we had fun! ^^

Of course I have to tell you, I didn’t eat all these in one day.. XP No way la!

This is the feast we had at Kemiri, one of the Indonesian specialty food court, yummy food and affordable too! ^^

Let’s see, siomay, soto, rice, satay, emping, es campur.. Wuah!

My current fave drink, Virgin Mojito! ^^ The cheapest one I can find is in Pizza Marzano, only for Rp 25.000,- (around US$3?), exclude tax.

Also from Pizza Marzano, Grand Chicken Caesar Salad. Take a look at that, GRAND Chicken man.. :D

We went to Pancious Pancake House to celebrate my boss’ birthday at that time

Penne pasta something with beef. I just can’t remember. :p but it was so good…

Look at the waffle! Fresh strawberry with chocolate sauce and choco ice cream! Oh what a pleasure.. (plus it’s free, hajaaarrr)

I’m currently also in love with Roppan.. A toast to happiness! ^^

Woohoo.. They really do have great presentation there..

I’ve been wanting to try the Hazelnut Mocha Shake, big one on the left. My bro tried the Chocolate Shake and it’s awesome!

Err, these are not food, obviously, but they’re part of the eating process, since they’re my culinary partner in crime, haha! ^^ Here we are at Nanny’s Pavillion.. Such a girly and cute restaurant.. And I really mean it by girly, it’s all Frenchy and cute there..

May not look so attractive at first, but we really do need greens to help our tummy to digest, right my dear tummy?? *rubbing my tummy*

Ooohh, and this one is from Pepper Lunch, great concept and I love the salmon dish here..

Ah I remember this one, a very bitter Macchiato from McD.. (Of course la it’s bitter..) When I drink it, my eyes went like this.. O_O But I still get to sleep 1 hour later, coffee affects nothing to my sleeping hours, bwahaha!

Oh! For Chinese food lovers out there, this Kangkung Cha Beef and tiny eggs is fantastic la! Gotta try it.. ^^

Sorry for the blurry photo, I took this in the middle of the midnite.. Around 12 PM-ish, we were just finished after the Batik event, I was so hungry so I ate whatever’s left in the warung there. Indomie it is.. I gotta tell you, when you’re hungry, anything tastes good. But it is Good! I was just saying, haha..

Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle Event with Beauty Bloggers! ^^

Morning everyone! Ah, such a lovely Sunday.. One thing I’m loving about weekend is the freedom to sleep looonggg and wake up when I feel I want to.. ^^

After I woke up this morning, my mind is still fresh and suddenly I remember, “Aha! Why don’t I write about the recent Lancome beauty blogger gathering?”

So here it is, I’m reporting it to all of you..

Ms. Irma from Lancome contacted and invited me to attend the launch of Lancome’s newest product: Maqui Blanc Miracle! Of course I’d say YES! ^^

The event took place in Lancome’s counter at Debenham’s Senayan City, Jakarta.

Everybody’s already on the spot! Gosh, I’m so lateeee.. XD

Yes, I was so embarrassed because I was running late to the event, I had to attend a family event before this so I had to rush to this event. Nevertheless, I made it! Phew..

Let’s take a look around the counter, shall we?

I immediately go into the perfume corner and Wow! Take a look at that!

Lancome has an impressive collection of perfume, and beautifully arrayed too.. :O

But still, my favorite is Lancome Tresor in Love! Compare to its older sister, Lancome Tresor, Tresor in Love has more fruity-floral notes so it’s fresher and suits more to the younger audience (including me). ^^

So many Lancome products, I’m amazed!

They called this “Sushi Bar”, because it has many Lancome products in one plate and it’s moving in circle like the one in Sushi bar, haha!

WAUW.. Check this out! A giant bottle of Lancome Genifique, haha! ^^

Lancome lipstick and lipgloss collection!

After finished taking pictures, Ms. Irma asked me to try one of their service that you can try at Lancome counter, which is their “2 Minute Aura” treatment. It’s not exactly like a make over, but it’s retouching your makeup to release your inner beauty aura. It only takes 2 minutes, so it’s fast! For example, if I want to go somewhere after office, I can use this technique to prep myself.. ^^

Special thanks to Mbak Wardah who helped me with the '’2 Minute Aura” treatment! You’re so kind, nice to meet you too.. ^^

I love the mini Lancome Genifique made into a cute brooch, nice touch!

Let the treatment began.. I have to use a head band to prevent my long hair stand in the way, hehe..

And these are the products she used!

Lancome Genifique came first, as it will prep and revitalize the skin after a long day of work..2 pumps is enough. How to apply it? She patted it on my face so it will absorb the skin and moisturized it from the inside.

After that, it’s basically like retouching your makeup. Using Lancome UV Expert GN Shield and Teint Miracle foundation, she reapplied the base makeup. And also putting some powder and blush. Almost done!

What I like the most is the lipstick. I used this L’absolu Rouge #366, pink with a hint of Fuchsia in it. It really brightens up my lip.. Ooohh. I have to buy this later! ^^ (Purchase list, check!)

After 2 minutes, I was done, but because I was too busy checking out on what others are doing so I forgot to take a picture of “After Photo”, haih..

What I can tell is:

- face feels refreshed

- doesn’t feel heavy to my face

- feels like my beauty aura is glowing from the inside (how to explain this ya?) I feel beautiful from inside, glowing is the word suits best to describe it.

Meanwhile, let’s take a look on what others were doing..

Even Carnellyn was having a treatment from Lancome too! I didn’t disturb her cause she looks very serious at that time.. But this is the after photo:

Since it’s the launching of the new Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle foundation, we got them for free! ^^

I heard so many great things about this foundation online, so we’ll see! It says it will bring your inner light radiance aura to shine, last until 12 hours and most importantly it contains high SPF (SPF 35 PA +++). There are also few more items in the bag, will review that later ya.. \(^_^)/

For this post, I will review one of my fave foundation, it’s from Lancome, and in case you haven’t read my previous post about it, you can read it here.

This post is special because I’m experimenting with the new layout and I try to be more organized so it’s easier to read. It’s an extra effort for me to do, but it’s all for you, my lovely readers! ^^

* Packaging *

The top cap has Lancome rose engraved on it. Very elegant.. ^^

It has a pump bottle so it’s more hygienic and easy to use. For me, 2 pumps is enough.

On the back of the packaging, there’s Japanese & English writing on it. I read it somewhere it’s because the Asian shade sold in here was formulated in Japan. The shades types are O – Ochre, BO – Beige Ochre and PO – Pink Ochre.

My shade is PO-03. It has a more pink undertone and it’s the lighter one compare to the PO-045.

For color reference, my skin is NC25 on MAC, but now I tend to get lighter to NC20, since I’m using Vit C Serum.

* Smell *

It has a very faint smell of rose, it’s floral-ish to my nose, but it’s not too much since it’s designed for sensitive skin.

* Texture *

The texture is very runny and lightweight. It’s very watery since it contains 40% of water, therefore it won’t clog the pores. For the application, I’m using brush, because it’s easier to control the coverage. If I’m using sponge, I’m afraid the sponge will ‘eat up’ all the foundie, hehe.

* Color swatch *

This is how PO-03 looks like. The pink undertone makes my skin not too yellow than the normal Ochre shade. I think it looks a bit pale here, don’t you think? But it will blend in perfectly to the skin, no worries.. ^^

The finished result is very dewy and gives a subtle glow to the skin. My face appears more radiant and even after I set the foundie with my mineral loose powder, it doesn’t look cakey. Love! ^^

* Coverage *

On my face, the coverage is medium to almost full. It covers the redness well, but because my face has a lot of blemishes and acne scar, so I still need concealer to completely cover it.

* Staying power *

I’ve been using this for my office makeup for quite some time now, and I’ll have to say, I’m impressed! The staying power is very good and will last about 10 hour plus. I still have to blot every 4-5 hours or so, but it’s because I usually go outside to grab my lunch, so I have to face the heavy pollution here in Jakarta, say that to my super oily skin… Duh! T__T

But other than that, the foundation stays on my skin and still makes my face picture perfect till the end of the day..

* Conclusion *

Overall, I really like this foundation, it’s my honest opinion. The texture is very lightweight and it gives me a dewy finish plus glowy complexion, which I adore. I think it’s a really great product and a must try for all of you. Beware though, you’ll fall in love with it, hehe.. X)

For this post, I will first post the Innisfree Mineral Powder SPF 40 PA ++ in shade #2.

In the website here it says it’s a loose powder that contains 95% natural ingredients to comfort the skin.

Explanation:

This powder, formulated with 95% natural originated ingredients and Jeju natural mineral powder, offers comfortable adherence to your skin as it covers skin flaws without blocking skin pores, presenting you with a natural transparent complexion.

The complete products of Innisfree Mineral collection! Ok la, 1 at a time..

When I open it, I was surprised to see the cap can be used as a mirror too, how convenient.. ^^

Although the size is quite small, I think it’s about 5 cm in diameter, but I guess that’s enough to see part of your face, hehe.. Good for travelling!

The content is 10 gr, I think it’s enough for 2-3 month usage if I use it every day..

I pick the shade #2, since I think #1 is too light for me. The shade is natural beige as you can see, it suits for NC 20- NC 25, yellowish undertone.

This is the first time of me using this kind of powder, so yes I’m a bit awkward when I used this. I was like, err, how to do this again? XP

The top / the applicator is made of soft round sponge and when I lightly dab into the powder, the mineral powder will stick to it and won’t drop.

I usually pat the round sponge to the cheeks, chin, jaw and nose first; and then blend it out with circling movement. Actually this can be done with brush too, if you’d like. The mineral powder feels light and cover my pore without blocking it, leaving a silky finish.

This is me using the Innisfree BB Cream, Concealer and Mineral Powder.

The coverage is sheer to medium and the thing I noticed is that it allows my skin to ‘breathe’ so my face feels lighter and not 'medok’ (heavy makeup).

The next thing I’m drooling on is the Mineral Melting Foundation, I read many raved reviews and can’t wait to get my hands on it!

Ponds Review!

Hey everybody! Remember this? ^^ Yup, I’m back for a review!

Pond’s White Beauty Naturals products with Camellia Leaf extract

These are the products given to me, so here’s the review..

First is the Pond’s White Beauty Naturals Gentle Exfoliating Foam: the facial foam contains micro scrub to gently exfoliate your skin.

Back of the packaging.

You can see the tiny-tiny green beads there.. When I rub it to my face, the green beads scrubbing is mild so it doesn’t feel harsh.

Here’s a picture of me using the facial foam, the exfoliating foam is light and soft, with a hint of Camellia leaf scent.

I use this 2x a day, morning and night, and the result after using this, my face feels brighter as it removes the dullness off. (No more ‘kucel’ face, hehe)

After using it, my face feels clean and fresh. It’s not drying and it keeps my face moist and oil free nicely.

Next is the Pond’s White Beauty Naturals Day Cream: it gives you double protection to UV light, what better way to start your day with a naturally white skin? ^^

The texture is quite light and easy to absorb. I did tell you that I like the scent and it’s true! ^^ After I used this, my skin feels moisturized and hydrated. Ready for makeup-ing!

Pond’s White Beauty Naturals Night Cream

The packaging is pretty similar with the day cream, and it’s made of glass jar, sometimes I’m afraid I’ll break it so I put it in my skincare drawer. Safe and sound!

After a long day of work (tell me about it) and exposed in the sun, it’s time to pamper your skin with extra treatment, cause this night cream will help to repair skin damages and make your skin look naturally white the next day! ^^

The texture is a bit thicker than the day cream.

In this collection, I really like the night cream. I’ve been using this for quite a while and I have to say, this night cream is my staple product at the moment. It smells lovely and makes skin soft and bouncing healthily in the morning, hehe.. If you want to try an affordable yet good quality night cream, I think Pond’s is worth to try. Thumbs up!

John Galliano–Parlez Moi d’Amour perfume review

Hello everyone! I just wanna share this quick post cause I’m so happy! The Parlez Moi d’Amour perfume is finally arrived! Thank you so much to Luxasia Indonesia!

It’s in a black box wrapped in a beautifully tied ribbon, of course I opened it quickly, can’t wait to see the inside.. ^^

Kyaaaa… It’s here! Parlez Moi d’Amour perfume by John Galliano in real size! ^^

I even got this really nice letter, wow..

The back side of the box.. just like an envelope..

The bottle is so pretty, yes? ^^

So, when I open the cap like this…

I noticed there’s something engraved on the cap, it says:

and this is why I am writing to you my love

(Awwww…)

Even the top cap is cute.. ^^

The writing on the bottle is made by goldish ink, so classy..

And I love the stamp right here, it does feel like a love letter to me, awww.. ^^

I got the 80ml size, so happy!

Even the back of the bottle is shaped like an envelope, hehe!

Now I know you’re asking me, what does it smell like? What does it feel like?

So, ok, here are the notes..

Top notes: Blueberry, Ginger, Bergamot

Middle notes: Jasmine Sambac, Lavender, Turkish Rose

Base notes: Musk, Indonesian Patchouli, Cypress

What I usually do to test a perfume is I sniff the crown-top, and when I do this, I usually can tell whether I like the perfume or not. Please note that my personal preference is floral-fruity and I choose my fragrance based on the long lasting thought, which means I have to be able to wear it for a long time after. So I think about my choices real carefully.

On to the review…

When I sniff the crown top of this perfume, the first thing I noticed is the berry-ness that sparks out. It’s sweet.. There’s a hint of ginger in it, to add a lil bit of twist there.

The one that I got right here is the Eau de Toilette (EDT) and it lasts around 5-6 hours on my skin, I sprayed it on 5 PM and the scent faded out around 10-11 PM. The staying power is pretty good on me, considering I tend to sweat a lot, hehe..

After about 1 hour, I can smell the jasmine note starting to come out. And it feels light, not too strong. I remember the jasmine scent really well because my mother used to plant jasmine on the front yard when I was little, so I always sniffed it whenever I played around the garden.

I also recognized the rose notes, because it’s pretty obvious. It’s pretty strong and it brings character to it. I guess that’s what John Galliano meant about the rebel side of this fragrance, I can tell it’s edgy but still feminine. For the lavender note, I think it blends well and it makes me calm and relaxed.

It’s a pretty bold choice to put 3 most popular notes in the heart / middle note of a perfume (Jasmine, Rose and Lavender), but I think this one can present it pretty well. It’s balanced and not overwhelming.

After around 3 hours or so, I can smell the base notes already.. I can feel the musk and patchouli is harmonized perfectly. All in all, I think this perfume really portraying a love-letter romance, I really love it.

By the way, my mom likes fragrances too, so maybe that’s why I have a sweet spot for good-smelling-stuff.. Anything that looks good and smells good, that’s it I’m falling for you.. (and that counts for food too, hehe) ^^

Missha Super Aqua Mineral Cleansing Water review! ^^

Happy Monday everyone, how do you do?

Me, I’m still having a little flu, and at work today, my coworkers told me, hey you still sick? Not healthy yet? Nooo.. –_-“ But don’t worry, I’m drinking vitamin C to the max here, hohohoho..

For this post, I’d like to share about my findings on this Korean brand, Missha! Maybe you’ve heard about it before, it’s quite a popular brand for all you Korean-cosmetic lovers, hehe..

I bought these:

l-r:

- Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream #23 Natural shade (it’s a bonus sample)

- Missha Tea Tree Sheet Mask

- Missha Super Aqua Mineral Cleansing Water (Usually I’m using a lotion/cream base makeup remover, but I found that it makes my face more oily. That’s why I’m trying something new now)

The description on the back of the bottle was all in Korean, can’t understand at all, hehe..

Super Aqua MIneral Cleansing Water

Cleansing water with minerals for sensitive skin

1. Enriched with minerals - contains Blue Lagoon Water and mineral water with skin reliving and moisturizing effect that keeps the skin hydrated and healthy after use.
2. Mild cleansing - Free of any colors, scent or alcohol that might cause irritations on sensitive skin
- Used mild botanical cleansing ingredients derived from coconut designed for sensitive skins
- PH-neautral to be gentle around the sensitive skin such as the eye area

Ingredients:
1. Sweet Flag Extract
Known to be used for oriental medicine with skin cleansing, relaxation and soothing effect
2. Willow Bark Extract
Extracted from Willow tree bark, that protects the skin from harmful elements and the natural BHA ingredients softens the skin

How to Use:

1. Pump appropriate amount on cotton pads and gently wipe off the makeup and impurities
2. Cleanse once more using a makeup cream in case of heavy makeup or wash off with lukewarm water using cleansing foam

Full Ingredients as enlisted above, so some of the ingredients are: Water (of course) Glycerin, sea water, stem extract & rose water, and then… amethyst & pearl powder? Wow.. Quite the ingredients it has there.. ^^

Here’s how it looks like on the cotton, it’s almost colorless as you can see here. When I rub it on my hand, the texture is watery, without any trace of scent. I was a bit surprised, because knowing it has rose water in the ingredient, I thought there would be rosy scent in it, but there’s not. Good for sensitive skin, I guess? ^^

After that, I test it out to wipe out my full-office-makeup-face. Voila!

The 2 pictures above are the 1 (same) cotton pad that I used for my whole face. When it touched the skin, the water turned into a more milky and creamy soft texture. And then it dissolved the makeup from my face and made the makeup removing process better, making my face feels more hydrated, cleaner & fresher! ^^

The cleansing power to remove the makeup from my face is pretty OK, to completely remove all the trace of makeup, it’s gonna need about 2 cotton pads + another toner.

All in all, I think it’s a good product to keep and since it’s a tall 250 ml size bottle, I think the $13 (around Rp 115.000,-) prize is worth it. I can use this for a long time..

Ah, that reminds me, I have another makeup remover to review, but that’s for next-next post yaaaa… (you must be super curious now, mwahahahaha)

How you’re all doing this weekend? Me, cold, literally. I mean, I’ve been spending this entire week with sneezing all the way, hehe. When I’m in the office I was like, *hatchi!* *hatchi!* and my nose is red like Rudolph, haha! But hey, it doesn’t stop me from updating my blog, right?

Time for a review! This time is the product from Epiderme, you can check the website in http://epidermeskin.com/ They sent me samples of their products to try.

l-r: Matte Gel, Acne Solution Cleansing Gel & CPR Ocean Mask

Start with the cleansing first, this is Epiderme Acne Solution Cleansing Gel in real size.

The real product is in a white sleek 220 ml bottle.

Main active ingredients are: (taken from the website here)

Mangosteen Peel Extract: potent anti‐oxidant, rich in Xanthones, anti‐viral, anti‐ fungal, and anti‐bacterial

Raspberry Fruit Extract: antioxidant, astringent, anti‐inflammatory

Yogurt Extract: Rich in vitamins, calcium and minerals, growth factors stimulate fibroblast proliferation and extra cellular protein such as collagen, probiotic content increases immune function and has a Lactic Acid component

Salicylic Acid: beta-hydroxy acid derived from the bark of a willow tree. It provides exfoliation preventing pore clogging, smoothing fine lines/wrinkles, stimulates new cell growth, reduces inflammation

Lactic Acid (L) – Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA): It hydrates and exfoliates, also reducing wrinkles and pigmentation discolorations.

I was surprised to see the inside, in a glance, the texture looks like honey! ^^ It even has a nice citrusy scent, which I like. When I lather it with water, it immediately turn into a foam.

The result:

After using this, my skin felt moist, as if it’s being moisturized. It takes oil away without drying, me likey.. ^^ I feel fresh and clean, and my face feels plumpy and bouncy!

Also, since it’s paraben (preservatives) free, I can rest assured that’s it’s natural and safe for my skin. Cleansing my face is much more exciting when I know that it’s full with all the good ingredients above.

Next, continue to the moisturizer…

Epiderme Acne Matte Gel

The real product in 60 ml size.

Main Active Ingredients: (taken from the website here)

Lilac Stem Cells: Improves acne and sebum related skin conditions through sebum regulation, yeast control and anti‐inflammatory activity

Totarol: Abundant in the heartwood of the New Zealand Totara tree, potent anti‐bacterial activity, antioxidant properties

Sodium Hyaluronate (L): Plumps, lubricates, moisturizes the skin, prevents trans‐epidermal water loss

Phenyl‐N‐Butyl Nitrone (Spin Trap): A highly active oxygen/nitrogen complex, considered an “intelligent” antioxidant, instead of destroying free radicals, it traps them, transforms them into useful oxygen, and then transports them back into the respiratory cycle

Description about the product:

The antidote for acne skin; a super-concentrated gel formulated using Lilac Stem Cell that fight against acne condition through sebum regulation, yeast control and anti-inflammatory activity.

• Boosts skin moisture and prevents trans-epidermal water loss

The sample of Epiderme Matte Gel

The inside.

The texture is almost similar like the cleansing gel, still looks like honey, hehe. But it’s in gel form and lighter. The scent is is citrusy and a bit woody to me. When it’s spread on my face, it’s absorbed to my skin quickly and leaving it matte-soft.

When I used this, my skin feels calmer and healthier. The sebum control is also good, after using it my skin is oil free longer than it’s usually was. Me satisfied! ^^

Next, it’s time for the mask!

Epiderme Anti Aging CPR Ocean Mask

The real product is in 60 ml size.

Main Active Ingredients: (taken from the website here)

Pepha®: Formulated to tighten skin and provide long term effects by strengthening skin connective tissues

Sea Buckthorn Extract: High content of Omega 7 fatty acid, tocopherols, carotenoids, phytosterols, enhances cell regeneration, promotes healing

Seanamin®SU: Complex of marine brown and red algae, hydrorgulating agent, softening, moisturizing, strengthens cutaneous protection and defense, improves tone and elasticity

Spirulina Platensis: A natural blue pigment derived from Spirulina, a blue‐green algae, with antioxidant and anti‐inflammatory properties

Description about the product:

Powerful ultra calming treatment masks which can be worn after a treatment to calm and infuse the skin with anti-aging benefits. Enriched with algae which is proven for their impressive triggers of strengthening skin, firming skin and improving skin tone. Phycocyanins decreases inflammation of the skin combined with blue-green algae which gives CPR Ocean Mask its subtle, cool hue.

Benefits:
• Formulated to tighten skin and provide long term effects by strengthening skin connective tissues

• Enhances cell regeneration and promotes healing

• Improves skin tone and elasticity

Here is the sample of the Epiderme CPR Ocean Mask, the 10 ml content actually can be used for 2x application.

Here’s the inside.

First of all, when I try on any beauty product, the first thing I usually do is to sniff it. When I sniffed this mask, it smells a bit salty, like there’s a bit of sea feeling in it. Maybe because it contains Sea Buckthorn Extract and Seanamin®SU (Complex of marine brown and red algae) so no wonder it smelled like the sea, hehe..

The texture as you can see above is thick and creamy gel, but in fact it’s light on the skin. It’s quick to absorb and after a while (30s to 1 min), there’s a tingling minty sensation on my face. I can feel the mask is working, hehe.

The result after using this for 30 minutes, I can’t really see it straight away after washing my face with water. But, after I leave it overnight (I used this mask before sleep), when I woke up the next morning, I was stunned to see my face looked brighter and I have glowing complexion! When I applied my office makeup in the morning, my makeup glides on easily. Wowww.. ^o^

Conclusion:

I think all Epiderme products have great combination of natural ingredients, benefit the skin and organic, that’s a plus point. I’m really liking Epiderme products and hoping to see more of them in the future, so please open a counter here in Indonesia? hehe.. ^^

They’re explaining about the newest perfume from John Galliano which is Parlez Moi d’Amour, which means, like I’ve said earlier, Speak to me about love.. Aww.. isn’t it sweet?? ^_~

Lena and Tebitha told us that this perfume is the love letter from John Galliano himself, a man full with art and passion for fashion and beauty.. <3

Her muse for this perfume is Taylor Momsen, you probably know her from Gossip Girl, and she’s looking fierce in this ad!

Rebel Chic aura..

Edgy, tough yet still showing her feminine side.

The notes of this perfume are:

Top notes: Blueberry, Ginger, Bergamot

Middle notes: Jasmine Sambac, Lavender, Turkish Rose

Base notes: Musk, Indonesian Patchouli, Cypress

When I first sniffed it, I can almost taste the sweet blueberry, like a fresh syrup. In the beginning it was fruity yet the ginger note made it unique.

After that, the roses start to come out and it feels so light yet indulging..

I think I’ve been swept away by the enchanting scent, hehe. I mean, it literally took my breath away.

The rose, jasmine and lavender notes combined together to a perfect harmony in the heart of this perfume..

After that, it toned down to a subtle musk, cypress and patchouli base.

My first impression to this fragrance is it’s irresistibly charming. And captivating, of course. It’s not too sweet or too girly, it has a little bit of rebel side in it. Not an ordinary beauty. It’s like writing your own love letter.

And speaking of which.. Lena & Tebitha suddenly gave us this poster-size letter to write on, and because it’s so huge, we were kinda speechless on what to write.

Even Stella is thinking hard, hehe.. She’s so cute!

After a bit of discussion, we came up with this:

Away for Holiday + Kiehl’s Review! ^^

Hello everyone! How you all doing? ^^

I know I’ve been away for some time cause I was having a long holiday cause of the hari raya Lebaran, so I was staying over my folks house in Lampung to enjoy my vacation.

Here are some pics:

Ok la, time for review!

* These products was sent to me from Kiehl’s representative for review purpose, and my review is plain and honest! ^^

A little info:

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Collection is gentle, yet have effective formulations to hydrate, soften, and condition while providing superb moisturization for all skin types, including sensitive. The collection includes Ultra Facial Cleanser, Ultra Facial Moisturizer, Ultra Facial Toner, and Ultra Facial Cream.

Key ingredients are: Squalane, Vitamin E, Apricot Kernel Oil, Avocado Oil, Sweet Almond Oil.

First, this is the sample of Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser..

The texture is gel, and it feels really soft on my skin. When you rub it to your face, it will lather to a mild foam and gently wash away the dirt without overdrying.

Next is the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner

The texture is milky watery, after I apply it to my face it made my skin hydrated yet a bit squeaky. It’s a nice toner to help removing my makeup, IMHO.

Moving on to Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer..

The texture is a light lotion, and easy to absorb. It made my skin soft and nice to touch, hehe.. ^^

Last but not least, Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream

In addition to the key ingredients above, it also contains: Antarcticine (a glacial glycoprotein sourced in Antarctica) & Imperata Cylindrica (a desert plant extract indigenous to the Australian Outback). It provides 24 hours hydration for your skin and continuous water replenishment throughout the day .

The texture is light creamy, it’s quickly absorbed as well, and when I use this, it doesn’t make my skin oily, so it’s good! This one is perfect for a hot summer day cause it really comfort my skin and make it real supple. Me likeeeyy... ^^

Conclusion:

I really like the Ultra Facial Cleanser & Cream, in terms of texture and effect, I think it suits my skin really well. Especially for the Ultra Facial Cream cause it doesn’t feel oily on my face. And it’s not scented, which is a bonus point for my sensitive skin.

Is there anything that you like so far? If you have sensitive skin, it’s better to try on something mild and no-scented products, cause it’s safer for your skin.

MUFE Blogger Makeup Class–The Report

Hello everyone!! I’m back with my report on Make Up For Ever Beauty Blogger Makeup Class!

The event was held on MUFE Academy in Plaza Indonesia, 4th floor. But before that, we decided to have a blogger meet up before at Bakerinz for a little chit-chatting! Read Stella’s post about it, here.

I was arrived a little late because my work just finished on 5.30 PM, so I didn’t have much photo in there, but I did manage to eat, because I’m starviiingg…

Soon after that, the rep from MUFE called us and telling that the class was about to start… Waaaa.. we rushed to go to the class.. (feeling like high school again, hehe)

We the students listened to her carefully, but still, when the camera is on, nobody can resist to pose! hehehe.. ^^

Agustin was explaining how to use the Shade Finder wheel..

So here’s how to read it:

For the lipsticks, we have the perfect nudes, reds and pinks

Since my hair is brown (dyed), so I have to match it with my goldish skintone, you can see your skintone by the reflection of your skin in the light.

To determine the foundation color, swatch the foundation to your jawline (tulang rahang), if it disappear and blend nicely, it’s your shade. Mine is 120.

For concealer, I usually look for the lighter one, and so does with the primer. But I didn’t use the pink primer cause I have many blemishes I want to minimize the redness..

Tommy, BA –Beauty Advisor- from MUFE helped Stella to find her perfect shade for foundation.

First, always and always, use the makeup primer. We’re using the MUFE Elixir and MUFE HD Primer. Like this:

I used the green one to hide the redness and the yellow one to even out the complexion.. After that, use the MUFE HD Foundation.

Swatches

Time for concealer! I had to use lots and lots of concealer cause my skin was having so many breakouts.. Boohoo.. T__T

My fave time: Blush on! ^^ I used the yellow darker to contour my chubby face , and the pink one to give my cheek a bit of color, but it’s still natural cause it’s used under the powder.

The swatches on my hand, when applying the blush on, you have to smile, and using the brush/finger, apply the cream blush from the upper cheekbone to the apples of your cheek.

OK almost done, on to the powder..

Agustin is showing us how to use the powder, so basically, you just have to swirl it on your face, and don’t stop until it’s blended nicely.

Like this.. move the brush clockwise and swirl it on your face continuously, I usually start from the cheek.

Nissa’s joining to try on the brush too! Btw the brush is so expensive, it’s +/- $50.. but I guess you’re paying for the quality ya, cause the bristle is soooo fine & soft.. I osowant.. T__T

Yaaayyy.. I didn’t retouch this photo ya, only resizing.. Even in the photo, my face looks glowy.. Love! ^^

Hi everybody… How are you guys doing?

Now I’m back with the review of my Yves Rocher haul!

Here they are:

Start with this one..

Yves Rocher Yellow Peach Shower Gel 400 ml

This is my second purchase of this shower gel, I really like the peach scent. Soft, velvety and calming. Usually the other peach fragrance I found in the market are too intense and striking my nose but this one is different.

See the texture? Yup, it’s gel and it’s easy to foam once it touches water.

The result after I use this, my skin become utterly soft to touch and moist. Not drying at all, no squeaky clean feeling. I’m really loving it!

And when you leave the bathroom, the soft peach fragrance stays there and gives you cozy feeling. Only us girls who think bathing time is an indulging experience, hehe! ^^

Next, the fragrance:

Yves Rocher Yellow Peach Eau de Toilette 100 ml

Lovely peach scent! ^^ I instantly fell in love when I first sniff it, hehe..

The peach note smells ripe, fresh and balanced with the rest of the notes. Its fruity fragrance feels so soft in your body.

I usually wear this in the office when I need a lift up to my mood. And you know, I really believe fragrance does affect your mood and feeling.

When I feel romantic, I will wear my fave cherry blossom perfume and I’ll feel more beautiful.. ^_^

When I feel tired, I’ll turn on my aromatherapy candle and put some bergamot oil to make me energized again..

Next, the body lotion…

Yves Rocher Organic Oats Silky Lotion 400 ml

You can see the texture there is light yet rich with moisturizer..

The color is white and when I apply it, it’s quick when I massage it to my skin. Makes my body really silky soft and smells good.. ^^ My mom likes this lotion, she says the smell is very feminine.

Also, when I use this in morning before work, I can feel the lotion is more long lasting in my skin. Cause after all the traffic on my way to office and hours after that, my skin still feels soft to touch. Thumbs up for going organic! ^^

All about eyes – Swatches & Reviews ^^

Hello all! I think it’s time for another review, I haven’t done one since quite a long time ago, so here goes! ^^

I have this cutie eyeshadows from Beauty Buffet, the Anne&Florio Bakery Cream – Shadow.

It’s from Thailand! Ok I didn’t buy this at Thailand la, I bought this in Jakarta, hehe.. You can visit its cute website in http://www.beautybuffetshop.com. It has a bakery like layout, with the awning and everything, hehe! ^^

Left – Right: brown – nude pink – shimmering creamy eyeshadow base.

The swatches! Look lovely isn’t it? The brown one sure does bring a good definition to the eyes, but the nude pink is too subtle and it will settle on the eyes; gives it a natural healthy look. It’s not a strong pink color, nevertheless I’m pretty satisfied with the longlasting power, so it’s still ok for me la.

Next I want to introduce my new eye brush collection from Ecotools:

I bought them recently at FD Bazaar in Kemang Village from Sheylla aka Creamymilk – Indomakeup.com, she’s so pretty! Nice to know you, Sheylla! ^^ I’ve been lemming for these brushes for quite a while so I was so happy when I finally bought them..

The set contains 5 brushes which are: Crease, Shade, Highlight, Smudge & Blend. They all have fine bristle, very soft.

In my opinion, a good brush means it will transfer (almost) all the powder to your skin and the makeup will not stick to the brush. I think these brushes done a pretty good job for my eye makeup, so I’m keeping them carefully. Maintenance is necessary, so I try to wash my brush regularly.

Closer look on the brushes:

I like to start my eye makeup from the crease (lipatan mata). So this one goes first for me.

After that, it’s the shade brush. If I want to make a cat eye look, or define my outer corner, this is the brush.

For smokey look, this is the smudge brush. Or I use this for eyelining my upper and under eye to get that black goth look, usually for night makeup.

Highlight brush is a very useful one, I can use it to highlight under my eyebrow with this and to apply the translucent loose powder under my eyes to avoid any fallout. This brush is also good to highlight the inner corner eyes, to make the eyes look deeper.

Last but not least is the Blend brush. This brush is crucial to use. If not, your eyes will look weird cause they have all the harsh line and color clashing all together. So don’t forget to blend your eyeshadow, ok? ^^

The EOTD

Bright lighting – ideal for day look

Dark lighting – night look here we go!

I think it really creates a simple and will-go-to-anywhere-look. I usually use this eyeshadow for work, it’s not overpowering and easy to apply. Basically just apply the creamy eyeshadow base and then play around the brown and pink one. Done and done, hehe! ^^

No FOTD for this post cause my skin is acting up like crazy.. *sigh* Pimples and blemishes are on the loose! Grrr.. I’m applying face mask regularly these couple of weeks, but I guess it’s just the hormones, yikes.. XD
