I‘m back with the second look for IBB MUC! If you want to join, you still have time until tomorrow to submit your look, so hurry up! ^_^
This month’s theme is Runway Colors, so don’t be shy to show your bold makeup color cause you’re the model!
When I was looking for inspiration for this second look, I realized that I don’t have to look very far for an epiphany to strike me. Often times, it’s right there in front of you.
So when I was staring this IBB MUC banner, suddenly it hit me. Why don’t I create this makeup look? It looks awesome on the banner! Then I googled for another picture of her using this eye makeup, and tadaa..
Perfect! This should be my inspiration for today’s look!
Ok, let’s get started…
Since I have chapped lips this morning, I decided to use some lip balm first. Lucky me, Maybelline Indonesia has sent me 2 of their newest Maybelline Baby Lips Color Lip Balms!
I got mine in the color pink and peach-orange. The color is sheer, yes.. But it’s very moisturizing to my dry and chapped lips, I like it! I’ve used the color Pink Lolita on my previous post, you can click HERE. For today’s look, I will be using the color Coral Flush. :)
Now onto the eyes.. I’m using my Maybelline Color Tattoo in Painted Purple (the right one), I’ve used the Tough as Taupe (the left one) on my Smokey Taupe look, do check it out! ^_^
There are two ways that I like to use whenever I applied the Color Tattoo: first is using my finger and second is with brush. However, for this look, to add more boldness, I want to make clean-cut almond shape, without blending the edges. So I used my finger to applied the Color Tattoo, and then, to create a crisp - sharp edge, I used cotton bud with oil-based makeup remover on it, to gently sweep the edges. Voila!
Of course for everyday look, you can use your finger or brush to apply and blend ya, to get more natural look. Moreover, I have to say, this Color Tattoo is so awesome because it has many functions, it can also act as a colored mascara! Check out my purple lashes! Aren’t they pretty?? This is me experimenting and have fun with makeup, so everything’s doable, haha..
Also if you noticed, I went a little bit higher on my left eye because I actually have (just a tiny bit) uneven crease. It’s not really visible when I blend all the eyeshadows up to my brow bone, but because of the sharp edge, it’s more noticeable now. But it’s okay, that doesn’t bother me at all. I’m still grateful despite all of my minuses, in fact I don’t want to call that as a minus, I want to keep give thanks to God la!
Ok, enough rambling, not let’s get on to the lashes! Because on the image, the model was having this thick lashes, I also want some! Time to put on false lashes.. :)
I bought this one ages ago and never used it because I think it’s too thick, but now I think it’s time to use it! I just love the heart-shaped packaging, hehe..
After applying some lash glue, I hold it using a tweezer and then put it on top of my natural lashes.
I put some black liquid liner as the base for the false lashes. I drew a thin line first, with no wing out because I prefer to decide how I want to do my liner after the lashes are on. I usually have to touch up on top of the lash glue, anyway.
And.. the lashes are on! I curled my lashes once again to bring my original lashes up together with the false one, creating this beautiful effect of black-purple lashes. I’m so pleased with the result!
I love it! ^_^
