Hello everyone.. So sorry for the long absence.. But no worries, I’m back with another review! XD
Today I have a foundation from Paula’s Choice, they gave me this product when we’re in a meetup with some beauty bloggers a while ago.
So, let’s get started! ^^
I know in the description screenshot it says SPF 25, when I looked it up, it turned out that the new formula has higher SPF now.
The ingredients, I have the complete one from Paula's Choice Indonesia website:
I think it’s very nice to have the ingredients explained like that, yes? ^^
I got it in shade Best Bisque, which is the lightest one. Let’s see the swatch..
On top is straight from the tube, the below one is slightly rubbed in. The texture is light and watery, suitable for people with oily skin like me. About the smell, it’s not scented.
top left: using foundation only, 1 layer
bottom left: after full makeup
right: balcony lighting, natural makeup done
It has sheer coverage, so most of the redness and blemishes are still visible on the first layer. But when I layered it up, especially on my cheeks cause that’s where my acne marks are, I can still get nice medium coverage there.
I applied it using my foundation brush and I must say it’s the best way to apply it for me. Using sponge will absorb too much, cause the texture is really light. It spreads easily, I also like to use my fingers to apply so I can gently massage it to the skin. What impresses me is that it doesn’t make my skin oily and has good staying power, and since it has high SPF, it’s suitable for day usage.
I like the way this foundation turned out on my face. I thought that since it’s targeted for oily skin, it must have some flat matte finish, but it’s not!
On some reviews online I found that they said the finish is semi-matte, which I totally agree on. This foundation won’t give you that 2D look, it still has a slight radiant glow on it, so I guess this one is a win for me.
I hope you enjoy this post and I’ll see you in the next one! ^^
