Tadaaa.. Here they are.. ^^

Closer look, it’s in Thai language, hehe.. Maybe I should ask Pupe or Pang to translate it for me, how’s my Thai beauty blogger buddies doing?? ^^ #wavehand

Ingredients: Sodium Hydroxide ( also known as lye, common ingredient to make solid soap), Coconut Oil, Milky Jasmine Rice Extract, Aqua, Fragrance

It’s made in Thailand, of course. Thank goodness it has English translation, hehe.

Here’s the inside, after the plastic packaging is removed, you can see the inside is white-yellowish, with rice grains spotted here and there.

Each soap is in 5 cm (length) x 5 cm (width) x 2 cm (thickness) size. It’s pretty small compare to the usual soap bar we found here in Indonesia. This one lasted for around 1-2 weeks, since I got 2 bars, it’s good for 1 month supply.

After contact with water, it will lather into soft and mild foam. Although it doesn’t produce much bubbles as I expected, it’s okay for me la.

However, you know what’s so interesting about this soap?

The smell.

The best way to describe the smell is by opening your own rice cooker at home and inhale the smell of just-cooked-rice. Seriously. (I did that as well)

I don’t know whether you’re having jasmine rice at home, but if you do, you know what I’m talking about.  The smell is so close to the natural rice, but with sweet milky scent added.

Let’s see how the effect of this rice soap on me..

Before using the soap, are you ready?? I was a bit tanned here, since I had many activities under the sun lately.

This is the comparison right after I use the soap for the first time, 2 weeks ago. Yeah, I know, right??

If you see the extreme difference in here, fear not, it’s only temporary. There’s no ‘instant miracle’ here. That’s the effect of rice water or ‘air tajin’ in the soap. You have to use it regularly to maintain the result here. I was searching online how to explain the benefit of rice water, I soon found out that rice water contains sun protecting agent, natural sunscreen and also anti-inflammatory agent. It soothes sunburns and also promotes skin’s repair naturally. No wonder Japanese women use rice toner for their face, their skin is so smooth and flawless with rice water treatment! :)

This photo is taken 2 days ago. I’ve been using this soap for almost 2 weeks, so this time I tried to prove that the difference is actually happened  if you use it regularly. The overall skin tone is close to the picture before (2 weeks ago), right? My skin also feels really smooth.. ^^

What the soap does, it really brightens my skin and make it glowing. Especially when in contact with the sun, it doesn’t get as red as usual. It also helps to even out my uneven skin tone on the upper arm (around the sleeves area) and feet. I’ve tried to use this rice soap on my face as well (just once), the brightening effect was also visible and it didn’t cause any acne, thank goodness. In the packaging it says it can also be used to remove unwanted pimples/acne but I didn’t use it on my face anymore since I’m still trying another face wash + treatment, so I want to focus more on the body this time.

Even my auntie at a wedding party once told me in shock, “I thought you’re wearing stocking! You’re not? Your skin is so fair!” T.T  I’m so blessed with my fair skin and it doesn’t mean that people with tan skin are not pretty ya.. Remember, you’re beautiful just the way you are! ^^

If you want to know more rice water and its benefits, there’s a good article about it here. I’m even thinking to make my own rice mask now, hehehe.

If you’re interested to try this rice soap, you can check them out in HERE. Thank you to Gorgeus Sanz Online Shop who’s sponsoring this product, love it!

Well then, see you at the next post! ^^

  4. Does this soap contain collagen? cuz I'm a young girl in her late teens and I heard that wearing/consuming collagen products will affect my young skin in the long run. And, have u tried papaya soap? Which is better, the rice soap or the papaya soap?
