Hello everyone! I just wanna share this quick post cause I’m so happy! The Parlez Moi d’Amour perfume is finally arrived! Thank you so much to Luxasia Indonesia!
It’s in a black box wrapped in a beautifully tied ribbon, of course I opened it quickly, can’t wait to see the inside.. ^^

I even got this really nice letter, wow..

The bottle is so pretty, yes? ^^
So, when I open the cap like this…
I noticed there’s something engraved on the cap, it says:
and this is why I am writing to you my love
(Awwww…)
Even the top cap is cute.. ^^
The writing on the bottle is made by goldish ink, so classy..
And I love the stamp right here, it does feel like a love letter to me, awww.. ^^
I got the 80ml size, so happy!
Even the back of the bottle is shaped like an envelope, hehe!
Now I know you’re asking me, what does it smell like? What does it feel like?
So, ok, here are the notes..
Top notes: Blueberry, Ginger, Bergamot
Middle notes: Jasmine Sambac, Lavender, Turkish Rose
Base notes: Musk, Indonesian Patchouli, Cypress
What I usually do to test a perfume is I sniff the crown-top, and when I do this, I usually can tell whether I like the perfume or not. Please note that my personal preference is floral-fruity and I choose my fragrance based on the long lasting thought, which means I have to be able to wear it for a long time after. So I think about my choices real carefully.
On to the review…
When I sniff the crown top of this perfume, the first thing I noticed is the berry-ness that sparks out. It’s sweet.. There’s a hint of ginger in it, to add a lil bit of twist there.
The one that I got right here is the Eau de Toilette (EDT) and it lasts around 5-6 hours on my skin, I sprayed it on 5 PM and the scent faded out around 10-11 PM. The staying power is pretty good on me, considering I tend to sweat a lot, hehe..
After about 1 hour, I can smell the jasmine note starting to come out. And it feels light, not too strong. I remember the jasmine scent really well because my mother used to plant jasmine on the front yard when I was little, so I always sniffed it whenever I played around the garden.
I also recognized the rose notes, because it’s pretty obvious. It’s pretty strong and it brings character to it. I guess that’s what John Galliano meant about the rebel side of this fragrance, I can tell it’s edgy but still feminine. For the lavender note, I think it blends well and it makes me calm and relaxed.
It’s a pretty bold choice to put 3 most popular notes in the heart / middle note of a perfume (Jasmine, Rose and Lavender), but I think this one can present it pretty well. It’s balanced and not overwhelming.
After around 3 hours or so, I can smell the base notes already.. I can feel the musk and patchouli is harmonized perfectly. All in all, I think this perfume really portraying a love-letter romance, I really love it.
By the way, my mom likes fragrances too, so maybe that’s why I have a sweet spot for good-smelling-stuff.. Anything that looks good and smells good, that’s it I’m falling for you.. (and that counts for food too, hehe) ^^
